Ian is the Chief Executive Officer of Hymans Valuers & Auctioneers. He established the business in 1984 after concluding almost ten years in the accounting profession and completing studies as a Chartered Accountant in 1981.

Ian’s expertise includes business valuations for professional services firms, manufacturing, importers and distributors, IT companies and many other industry sectors. Ian has been a member of the Business Valuation Chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants since its formation.

Ian is also a certified plant and equipment valuer with a wide range of expertise that incorporates transport assets of all types, computers and related equipment, mining, food manufacturing, woodworking and metal fabrication equipment. Ian’s valuation experience ranges from insolvency administrations and large corporate valuations for publicly listed companies to five star hotels, vintage car collections and heavy engineering.

Chris joined the Hymans team in 2014, starting as a Trainee Plant & Equipment Valuer in Sydney and then relocating to Western Australia where he spent 2 years in the Perth office. During his time with Hymans he has gained extensive valuation experience all around Australia across a wide variety of industries.

Chris has developed a particularly strong expertise in manufacturing, printing, transport, construction, mining, engineering, earthmoving, plastics, hospitality, retail, wineries and much more. Prior To Hymans, Chris worked as a real estate agent for 2 years which developed his understanding of market trends and how they can critically impact asset values.

Paul is an AAPI CPV Registered Valuer who has over 32 years experience. Prior to joining Hymans, Paul was the Managing Director of a private practice that covered local markets specialising in the healthcare sector. Paul previously held the position of National Director of the Retirement and Healthcare Valuation division at CBRE, specialising in Aged Care Facilities, Retirement Villages, Medical Centres, Hospitals, Manufactured Home Parks and Child Care Centres.

Prior to joining CBRE, Paul was the National Director of Healthcare & Retirement Living Valuations at Colliers International for over 9 years.

Before working with Colliers, Paul was self-employed for 13 years running a boutique valuation/agency practice that provided transactional services in the healthcare sector, valuation advice on Aged Care and Retirement properties as well as Child Care Centres, Residential, small Commercial and Industrial properties.

Paul has had extensive experience in providing professional advice to private and public-sector owner/operators, lending institutions and consultants in the above sectors. The assignments undertaken have been across all asset classes for mergers and acquisitions, mortgage valuations, balance sheet purposes, feasibility studies and consultancy advice.

Michael commenced his career in property with the Queensland Government in 1981, leaving in 1994 to work for several valuation firms in regional Queensland and in Brisbane including an associate directorship with a national firm. He has extensive experience in the valuation of a wide range of property classes, predominantly commercial, retail, industrial, residential and accommodation going concerns.

Michael has provided valuations for a variety of purposes including mortgage security, acquisition and disposal, financial reporting and development feasibility and major clients include banks and other lending institutions, Local and State Governments and developers.

Vincent joined the Hymans Valuers and Auctioneers team in 2018 as a senior plant & equipment valuer in our Brisbane office. With over 30 years’ experience Vincent has had significant valuation experience across a wide range of market sectors, and has completed valuation assignments across all states and territories of Australia, together with international valuation assignments in New Zealand, Canada, China, Hong Kong, New Guinea, Singapore, United Kingdom and the United States providing valuation services and advice for a wide variety of clients. This experience includes managing large stock audits, litigation, insurance, insolvency, family law, tax consolidation valuations, mergers and acquisitions.

Tim Ellis has been with Hymans for 4 years, and has over 30 years’ experience as a valuer. He has held senior roles in Government, and has been a Registered Valuer since 1988. Tim has vast experience in the property sector, has an Australia Day Achievement Medallion & Certificate from the Minister for Environment, and a Highly Commended Certificate in the Premier’s Awards for Excellence from his decorated career within the State Government.

Latha is an API CPV Registered Valuer who has over 17 years Residential and Commercial Valuation experience. Latha has worked in SA, VIC and NSW for both small and large valuation firms and has undertaken valuations for a variety of purposes.

Latha is able to effectively expedite commercial and residential valuations that may be required for the following broad purposes (but not necessarily limited to): Mortgage security; Pre-purchase/sale advice; Stamp duty; Tax and retrospective valuations; Probate; Rent reviews; Family Law Financial reporting Residential development projects including residual site value; and Development feasibility and Expert witness for various courts under the Uniform Civil Procedures Rules.

Marc is an API CPV Registered Valuer in New South Wales who has over 10 years Residential and Commercial Valuation experience. Marc has worked in both small and large valuation firms covering valuation instructions across the wider Sydney metropolitan area and NSW regional locations.
